The Idea and Execution
It began when Amber reached out to me through a mutual friend and said she needed an illustrator for the children’s book she had been writing and needed another illustrator to help bring it to life. I liked the message that she would be sending and educating both kids and adults on all the different types of medicine in a fun and creative way. Amber has made this book her passion to help educate others about medicine and how to use them effectively and safely.
So after sending over the manuscript I got to work on boarding and mapping out layouts for the pages. Kateryna Struhalova created all the character designs for the Pam Family. We went through a lot of different passes and ideas before starting linework.
Backgrounds and Assets
Once we had the ground work for what Amber wanted the book to look like I moved on to my favorite part which is creating fun environments and assets to be used through out the book.
